Your First Visit

Our goal during your first visit is to get acquainted with you, and your dental needs. Using the tools in our state of the art facility, not only do we take photographs and X-rays, but we are able to conduct a comprehensive oral examination. This technologically-advanced dental examinations allows Dr. Gates to detect cavities before they cause too much damage and to check for oral cancer. The tools at our disposal allow Dr. Gates the ability to make an accurate diagnosis about your teeth, gums, bite, the degree of crookness of your teeth, the color of your teeth, and much more.

During your appointment, alternatives for prevention of dental disease and treatment of existing conditions are discussed with you. Once we identify the condition of your mouth and teeth, we produce a written treatment plan—a game plan if you will, that brings you to full health. After any disease is arrested, and any damage resolved, then regular maintenance is provided for continued long-term dental health. Here we can give you the smile of your dreams. A satisfaction with appearance that can come in no other way.

Regular Checkups

We strongly encourage regular dental cleanings and checkups for patients age 4 and up. Regular hygiene treatment and checkups are important to:

• Remove plague, bacteria and tartar that you simply can’t do yourself. (The Perio-Cardio connection – the relationship between the health of your mouth and the health of your heart-- is very real!)
• Check for decay or dental problems at their earliest stages. (Don’t wait till it hurts!)
• Take care of the investment you’ve already made in your health and appearance.
• Make your teeth look and feel their best.

Regular hygiene visits include a thorough cleaning, charting your periodontal health, polishing, fluoride if needed, and annual x-rays and an oral exam by Dr. Gates. During the oral exam, Dr. Gates will check the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue, and will check your existing fillings and restorations because constant force from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack.

Regular checkup appointments typically take 60 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us.

Just like our appointment reminders, you can customize how you receive financial reminders through email or voicemail. After you log in to your account profile, you can review and print your financial ledgers without having to call our office.

Online Bill Pay

After you log in to your account profile, review and pay your bills online directly through our website. All online payments are protected in a secure server via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) so your credit card information is encrypted as you enter it.
